COMMUNITY AMBASSADOR

Community is where the magic truly happens. Data skills aren’t built in isolation; they’re honed through shared experiences, collaborative problem-solving, and the exchange of ideas. A thriving community provides a supportive environment for learning, growth, and innovation, where individuals can connect with peers, mentors, and experts. It’s a place to celebrate successes, navigate challenges, and collectively push the boundaries of what’s possible with data.
Moreover, community fosters a sense of belonging and empowers individuals to become active participants in the data ecosystem. It’s about creating a space where everyone feels welcome, valued, and inspired to contribute. By highlighting community initiatives, showcasing the people behind our favourite data tools, and facilitating meaningful connections, The Data Front aims to amplify the voices and contributions of data enthusiasts everywhere.
CREATIVE, QUANITFIED SELF

The quantified self movement revolves around using data to gain insights into one’s own life and behaviours. In a world full of data gathered from smart phones, fitness trackers and online activity, self-data analysis can uncover valuable trends and correlations that reveal deeper stories about habits and well-being.
Always on the look out for iteration and improvement, Ellie love of data extends to tracking her own metrics.
Visualising this data with Tableau helps to make these insights more comprehensible and actionable, turning raw numbers into meaningful narratives that can guide personal growth and decision-making, and even inspire her creative process and artistic endeavours.
DATA + WOMEN LONDON

Ellie leads the London chapter of the Data + Women Tableau User Group, a community that champions women in data. She’s been co-leading it for five years, and after relaunching it in June 2023, she’s even more passionate about creating inclusive spaces. While the group features women speakers and highlights their expertise, everyone is welcome to attend and learn. Data + Women London holds regular meetups (both in-person and online) in central London, where people can share what they know, celebrate successes, and connect with others in the data world.
The group is all about showcasing the amazing things women are doing in data and inspiring more women to join the field. Through meetups and online chats, Data + Women London offers a supportive network where people can connect, learn from each other, and celebrate everyone’s contributions. The group provides great opportunities to learn, build community, and push for a more inclusive data world.
